The game starts to look more like AFL with the following major changes from U9 and U10 games:
Full tackling is permitted as per normal AFL rules except there are no sling tackles.
Smothering is allowed, as is fending off opponents and shepherding.
The ball must travel 10 metres before a mark is awarded, players can run 15 metres before bouncing and can bounce the ball twice.
Coaches are not allowed on the field of play though there can be runners.
U11, U12 and U13 games are made up of 4 quarters.
Games for U12’s and above are played on Sunday.
