The Glebe Greyhounds recently celebrated it’s 42nd Anniversary as an Australian Rules club in Sydney. We were privileged to have 10 past presidents on hand to celebrate this important milestone, as well as life members, club captains, Greyhounds committee members, coaches, managers and friends.
This wonderful evening was hosted by Australian entertainment icon and U13 Greyhounds coach Merrick Watts with music from the legendary Tim Rogers of You Am I fame. A highlight of the evening was having Simon Kelly and John Muggeridge, our clubs founders, being interviewed. If was amazing to hear from them about how they first started the Glebe Greyhounds back in 1980, a truly brilliant story.
Congratulations and thank-you to the events committee for making this such a memorable event, 2 years in the making! Everyone there had such a fantastic night reminiscing about old times.
A great story of the history of the club can be found in the link below.
