Sir Doug Nicholls Round

This weekend is Sir Doug Nicholls - a time to recognise the incredible contribution of indigenous players to our great game. It’s also an opportunity to pause and acknowledge that we play and train on Gadigal land.

Over the course of the weekend, we will:
•⁠ ⁠Launch the new clash version of our indigenous strip on Sunday
•⁠ ⁠Also wear our original indigenous guernsey for select Saturday and Sunday games
•⁠ ⁠⁠Hold an Acknowledgement of Country (Friday night / Saturday) and Welcome to Country (Sunday)
•⁠ ⁠⁠Feature the Aboriginal flag via ground markings

Most importantly, we will be encouraging our coaches, team managers and parents to talk to players about the importance of this round to our community.

Updated indigenous clash guernsey: launches this weekend

We are proud to launch our updated indigenous clash guernsey this weekend, as part of Sir Doug Nicholls Round. The new design was created by the original artist Blak Douglas, building on our existing and much loved indigenous guernsey.

In partnership with our new apparel supplier @strend_sportswear, we are rolling out the new design to the entire club. Starting with our U11B, U11G, U14B and U15G squads, all teams will progressively receive a new reversible guernsey over the next month. Our classic black and white stripes will still feature on one side, with the indigenous clash guernsey on the other side.

We extend our sincere thanks and appreciation to Blak Douglas and S-Trend for their amazing support with this initiative.
